The educational system should be targeted on outcome-based strategy, which is a method conventionally accepted and successful one. The outcome-based education solely depends on stakeholders’ view. The life of typical Higher Secondary students is one full of indecision and turmoil at the time of final examination. It is a time of increasing stress with influences of accountability from high stake test taking to pressure from peers. In this time, the students need a guidance to get success. Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering and Technology, Amaravathiputhur, Karaikudi organizes such guidance programme every year. The college organized fifth guidance programme “vetripadigal’15” with Pudhiya Thalaimurai on 5.01.2015. In his welcome address, Dr.K.Velmanirajan said, “Higher secondary examination is a time of life altering transition that can wreak havoc on the students' abilities to make good decisions for the welfare of themselves and others. So they should be very confident and courageous to get success”.
Dr.K.Meena, former Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University in her chief guest address said ”Everybody is born with some talents, they have to choose the field for which have passion and weakness should not be shown in that field”. She adds “success will not fall upon us like an apple out of tree. We need to work hard”.
Narrating a few moral stories to drive home the point that hard work is the best way to go about the exam, Dr.S.Senthilvelmurugan, CEO of Sivagangai District stated that concentration on the key points is very essential to get high scores. “One highly important factor in the success of the students both in learning and career prospecting is the development of effective social skills” said Mr. KR.Murugesan, DEO of Devakottai in his felicitation.
Subject experts for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry interacted with students. They pointed out the tips and techniques to score high marks in the examination. The programme is to orient the students on facing the plus two examinations confidently and securing more marks. Study material related to plus-two examinations were provided by the college. More than 2000 students from various places participated in the guidance programme
